JKC - Barsana has been continuously holding various medical camps such as Blood Donation Camps and Cataract Workshops in its campus area whereby specialist doctors of respective disciplines conduct these camps under their supervision.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood Donation Camp Since its inception in 2007, JKC - Barsana has been holding Blood Donation Camps twice every year - First in January and second in July. During these months many devotees from within India and Abroad come to JKP-Rangeeli Mahal Ashram to celebrate the festive season and hence are more than willing to donate blood which could save someone’s life.

The Blood Donation Camp is held in association with the District Hospital of Mathura, Dr. U. K. Srivastava, chairman of Holding Blood Camps, ICDC with his team members conducts the blood donation procedure. As per the requirement set by the District Hospital, Mathura, they cannot collect more than 60 blood donations and hence JKC - Barsana has always met their requirement.

All blood donations received by JKC - Barsana are donated further to the District Hospital, Mathura.

Cataract Workshop

Mathura, IndiaApart from its daily ophthalmic services provided, JKC - Barsana has decided to hold cataract workshops in the hospital premises once every year in January or July depending on the Surgeons Schedule.

In January 2009, JKC - Barsana conducted a 3-day Cataract Workshop in association with Tilganga Eye Centre – Nepal for the first time in its Hospital Campus. In the Workshop 1105 patients were examined and given medications and out of which 255 were operated for Cataract. The workshop was held under the supervision of Tilganga Eye Center’s Hospital Administrator – Mr. Bhagirath Baniya with Vitreo—Retinal Surgeon, Dr. Govind Paudyal (Nepal) and Ophthalmic Surgeons, Dr Sandhya Swami with their Para-medical team members performing the surgeries.

The Workshop included free vision testing and cataract removal surgeries where in high quality of intra ocular lens implantation is done free of charge. A follow-up visit (usually after one month) was done by Dr. Sandhya Swami whereby all the operated patients were provided with eyesight testing and spectacles.
